Jozi’s premier old meets new school live music experience event will next take place on Thursday, 3 September 2015, at Niche Hangout in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
ANALOGUE NITES presents SHIMUZIC: DJ Shimza and Friends live on stage for their Heritage Month edition which will see DJ Shimza present his new album SHIMUZIC with live instrumentation and the inclusion of some of the vocalists that feature on his album.
DJ Shimza’s highly anticipated album was released last month and has seen him tour the country promoting his album with his very successful One Man Shows. His album launch tour will see him also perform in Botswana at the end of September.
SHIMUZIC includes vocals and contributions by the likes of Dr Malinga, Heavy K, Zano, Cuebur, Soul Star and Afrikan Roots just to mention a few.
House music over the past decade and a half has become culturally entrenched in the South African music landscape, arguably the sound of young democratic South Africa. In 2013, South Africa was said to be the world’s largest house music market per capita. It is therefore quite fitting that ANALAOGUE NITES commemorates Heritage Month by celebrating house music with one of the genres current leading lights – DJ Shimza
ANALOGUE NITES resident DJs will also form part of the lineup, which includes SA’s top hip hop DJ, DJ Zan-D; Kaya FM’s DJ 1D; Brian Blaq, 5YF and rising female DJ star That Naledi!
