Nothende Set To Release A New Album Titled ‘The BraveHeart Experience’
Nothende Set To Release A New Album Titled ‘The BraveHeart Experience’ . ‘The BraveHeart Experience’ is Nothende’s 3rd studio album that has been in the making for a number of years. Having been through many industry hardships, and also feeling the need to take her craft to a higher level, she set out to create and complete the project on her own. The album is a high-energy, drum-filled, vocally playful body of work that captures her creativity in a way that we have not seen before.
othende first burst into the industry in 2003 with the timeless R’nB/HipHop hit ‘OOH’, which featured Khuli Chana of Morafe. She has since created a huge collaboration catalogue for herself with over 40 songs that she recorded with other artists in SA, covering various genres (hip hop, jazz, soul, house, afropop), showcasing her effortless chameleon-like nature, giving her talent a timeless stamp.
‘LoveLight’ (2010) was Nothende’s first solo project. Another classic piece, this album saw her gain international recognition, allowing her to tap into a bigger market. She received her first magazine feature in the UK’s Echoes Magazine and also reached No. 3 in the UK Soul Chart. Her music was played on numerous radio stations across the UK and US, and this ultimately led to her first international collaboration with jazz musos David P. Stevens and jazz/vocal legend, Frank McComb on the smooth and bright tune ‘Hello World’.
Nothende also wrote and composed the international house hit ‘I Wanna Love You’, with SA DJ Lulo Cafe.
