Cassper Nyovest Not Nominated For The SAMA’s Despite Filling Up Orlando

Cassper Nyovest is not nominated for the 2017 SAMA’s despite filling up Orlando Stadium last year. If the 26-year-old rapper was to die today, there is no doubt that he would be considered a legendary artist not just in SA but on the continent.

The New Age Doc Shebeleza has pushed boundaries in the four years he has been in the entertainment industry. Who thought a South African musician would attempt to fill up Orlando Stadium in 2016? What’s crazy is he just didn’t attempt….. he went on to fill it up with 40 000 people!

This year’s nominees were announced and Nyovest did not feature! Last year Cassper said, “I don’t want to win a SAMA anymore. I’m good without them.” The rapper did not submit for the award ceremony but we feel as that despite the bad blood between them, the SAMA’s should have acknowledged the rapper’s accomplishments through an honorary award this year! What do you think? Does not nominating Cassper jeopardise the SAMA’s credibility?
