Heavy K Clarifies His “Don’t DJ Like A Woman Statement”

Heavy K Clarifies His “Don’t DJ Like A Woman Statement – Metro Fm hosted heavy K for an interview on Wednesday, 20th of March 2019. It seems he mentioned something on the radio interview; in which Masechaba shared a post about on Twitter to broadcast his “advice” on how one should approach their Deejaying style.

Apparently, he boldly shared his announcement, which appears to discredit women who Dejaay, emphasizing that men are better than Women for skills and performance. It is a  well-known fact that this is a male-dominated industry which makes it gruelling for existing and aspiring female Deejays to get the respect they deserve.

He responded: “This is simple! Biggest DJs in the world are males & we as Male DJs we got a tendency of thinking we are better than females due to skill, song selection, equipment flexibility also because of the fact that it’s a Male dominant industry so I was saying I want to change that mentality.”

He declared, this is a straightforward and uncomplicated statement; he rallied, saying the prominent Dj’s in the world are male Dj’s; which we already know! And he pointed out that as a male Dejaay with others included have the proclivity to think of themselves superior compared to females in the area of skills. What he wanted to address and rectify was the embedded pessimistic stereotype carried by men in the same industry and he feels that needs to change.

Mixed emotions! Some get the point, others not so much, A fan who is not convinced responded:

It seems Heavy K’s statement was an attempted suicide mission, although, some understand what he was trying to get across. @MasechabaNdlovu responded to one of the fans to show she was not buying the cover-up story. Only he knows what he really meant!
