Bonang Gives Thumbs Up To Tresor’s Remedy

2016’s SAMA Best POP Album winner, TRESOR, has everyone talking about his latest music video for single Remedy, which is fast gaining momentum on airways across the country. Many have taken to social media to express their sentiments about TRESOR’s rising hit single such as the likes of Bonang Matheba, who in a tweet wrote ‘Tresors Remedy Is Up There!! Dang Global Vibes”

Remedy is currently number #19 on the Top 20 most played songs in South Africa and is already charting on radio stations such as 5FM, Good Hope FM and Rhodes Music Radio. The Remedy music video is also charting on the likes of Trace Urban and Trace Africa where it features at number #8 after being out for just three weeks.

The song Remedy represents a healing love: the kind that makes life euphoric. The essence of euphoria was brought into the music video with very bright colours and an 80’s Disco Pop feel.

Shot in Cape Town over two days in a studio, TRESOR and director Yash Lucid came up with the concept and built on the vision together. TRESOR shares: “The concept of the video is inspired by 80’s Disco Pop colours and fashion. We wanted to bring a hip African feel to it so we added the Panstula dancers who made the video magical! The music video takes you back to the time of the likes of Chicco Twala and Brenda Fassie… from styling to the whole aesthetic! We achieved our vision perfectly,” expresses TRESOR.

Benza of Vth Season shares: “TRESOR is constantly looking to raise the bar with his music and creative direction which comes across seamlessly in the Remedy music video. TRESOR is leading the pack to defining the African Pop sound on the continent as he consciously fuses Afrocentric elements in all his brand touch points. We are very proud of TRESOR and the work that he has put out. The Remedy music video is a treat and should be watched by all.”
