His stage name, NaakMusiQ, cleverly blends initials from his family members with a personal tribute to his father through the word “MusiQ.”
His journey began with a sports scholarship to Edenvale High School before turning to the arts. He studied acting and music, later signing with Baainar Records and rising to fame with the 2011 hit “Move” featuring Eltonnick. In 2014, he joined forces with DJ Tira’s powerhouse label, Afrotainment, securing his status in the Afro House and Afrotech scenes.
