Remy Ma Ends Nicki Minaj’s 7 Year BET Awards Winning Streak! It’s the end of the Nicki Minaj’s seven year reign as the baddest female rapper by BET, thanks to her nemesis Remy Ma’s epic comeback over a decade later.

Remy Ma walked away with the Best Female rapper Award Sunday night at the BET Awards. Minaj has won the Award every year since 2010.

This is the first time Ma’s won the Award after winning it back in 2005. Three years later Remy was sentenced to prison time for assault and only got released in 2014.

“I wanna thank God first and foremost. You can make mistakes and come back,” Ma said in her acceptance speech.
