Jay Z’s new album revealed some of the struggles in his marriage to superstar Beyonce. But don’t think any of it was a surprise to Queen B herself. Beyonce Approved Every Song On Jay Z’s New Album!

According to album’s producer, they had to get the nod from Beyonce on every song on the album. “I always call Bey our de facto A&R,” No I.D. (real name Dion Wilson) told The New York Times.

“Pillow talk is the strongest conversation on the planet. Every song has to get past her ears, in my eyes. She came by the recording studio a lot and played a good part in helping us get over hurdles on certain records. Of course she’s genius-level with that.”

The producer however said 4:44 it was not a direct response to Byonce’s own album, Lemonade. “We never directly spoke about [Lemonade],” he said.
