Idols SA Contestant Mthokozisi Ndaba Speaks About Getting Shot And Losing His Assets

One of the contestants from idols SA Mthokozisi Ndaba spoke of how he got shot in the leg and robbed,losing his guitar and laptop.

The singer auditioned at the show and got himself a Golden Ticket which meant that he was going to get to the next round which is called Theater Week. He said all of this took place when he was just celebrating getting the Golden ticket.

Mthokozisi explained his experience “I was in my yard celebrating my Golden ticket and preparing for Theater week, The next think I know someone hits me with the back of the gun, beat me up and then shot me. They got away with my laptop, guitar and even tried to steal my car. The police are under investigation.”

He also mentioned on his interview with Drum that, that Golden ticket was like a dream come true for him. “For me it was a new start and a new opportunity to show the industry musical abilities. And it was also an opportunity for me to help others,” says Ndaba.

It took him a month to recover, he said that he was afraid his situation might get him disqualified, to his surprises the judges didn’t disqualify him.

He said that he is optimistic about his journey with the Idols and hopes that viewers vote for him.
