Shuuu! Tshedi Mholo Drags The Music Industry Following Nichume’s Apparent Suicide – The news of house vocalist Nichume has left Mzansi mourning, confused and worried about the statistics of musicians committing suicide.

Malaika singer Tshedi Mholo has voiced out her concerns on the lack of support the industry has for those “suffering”.

The news trended and was confirmed a statement by her record label Top Chap Media on Friday morning last week. It was related that she has discovered at a friend’s place on Thursday after an apparent suicide. The musician has been dropping hints concerning her grappling with depression. Following paying tribute to Nichume, Tshedi stated the music industry needs to alter how they accommodate those who are suffering.

“Who do we run to when times are tough? Is there anyone listening? Artists are left to suffer on their own. We fought for our government to regulate and unite the industry, but every time we voice our grievances, we end up being a laughing stock,” she said.

“Are we alone in this? This has to stop. Stop victimising artists. Depression is a silent killer.”
