Sho Madjozi Joins Local Hit Drama Series Isithembiso! The 25 year old rapper real name Maya Wegerif plays the character of Tsakane Mboweni which originally didn’t exist.

Sho revealed she had auditioned for a different character and didn’t get it. The show however ended up creating a role for her personality.

“At first, I was scared, but I believe everything happens for a reason. Tsakane, as a character, is passionately involved in student politics,” she told SunBuzz.

The rapper now turned actress says she’s learning a lot from her seasoned co-stars. “I’m falling in love with my character every day. I get to learn from my co-actors as I didn’t go to acting school. I’m learning to be natural in front of the camera.”
