The Hustle Winner ‘Flex’ Opens Up About His Decline To Sign With Vth Season Recording Company
Signing with one of the biggest recording companies in the country is something we all think every musician wish for more than anything, It was surprising to learn that Flex Rabayeezy who won at Vuzu Amp reality TV show ”The Hustle” turned down Vth Season recording deal.
The rapper explained himself and said that he didn’t feel he was going to gain much from signing a recording deal and that the only way he can see his career moving the direction he wants is if he goes independent.
TshisaLive interviewed the rapper and he said that when he met with the bosses last week they were shocked by his decision but couldn’t say much. “…To be quite honest, i didn’t feel like there was anything to gain from signing the deal,”he said.
Rabayeezy also added he doesn’t believe in working for someone because he wants to be an entrepreneur.
Flex carried on by saying that he would love to work with rapper Cassper Nyovest one day. “I saw how Cassper has been doing it as an artist that is not tied to a record label and i want that. But besides that, musically, I would love to work with Cassper one day. I think we could make some banging tracks together and it would be on our own terms.”
Flex was offered a deal of R250 000 by Vth Season. AKA was also part of the record label but parted ways with it.
