Zahara Get Into Money Lending And Taxi Businesses
Award winning Afro-pop singer and songwriter Zahara isn’t solely focused on her music right now, she is also working towards expanding her business ventures. The singer is working with her sister Bandezwa in putting her business visions into reality. They have stated that in the next few months they will open a butchery in East London, a car wash in Johannesburg, a taxi service operating in both East London and Johannesburg. The two also planned to do a money lending service providing loans countrywide.
“Loan sharks are doing the wrong thing. They are providing loans and then demanding money back at a huge interest rate. I want to change the way people lend money. It is the same with the taxis. I remember riding in taxis and thinking how could it could be so much better if one or two thing were changed,” Says the Loliwe hitmaker. Zahara’s main aim of getting into business is to change the things she feels people who are running the same businesses are doing wrong.
Zahara said that she’s confident her businesses will succeed because the family supports her in all ways possible. As well as most of us are aware of the violent cases that are being reported associated with Taxis, one may fear that Zahara is taking a huge risk. The Phendula hitmaker said that she doesn’t fear taxi violence because she has a family member involved in taxis that knows all about the details of the industry.
All of this doesn’t mean that Zahara is going to let go of her music career, her sister is going to run the daily business while she puts her focus on music. Her new album is set to release on September this year.
