Cassper Nyovest Says He Has Never Received Help From Kalawa Jazmee Records
Award winning rapper Cassper Nyovest who recently hailed himself as Africa’s finest rapper took to twitter to set the record straight by stating that he was never assisted by any label in his career. The rapper is well known for running his own brand by being an independent rapper that isn’t and claim,to have never be under any recording label.
Most believe that the rapper started off as an artist that was signed under Oskido’s record label Kalawa Jazmee but Nyovest clarified that he was never signed under the recording company.
Cassper felt the need to let this be known when certain twitter user used the track list for his first Album Tsholofelo to suggest that he was assisted by Kalawa Jazmee on the album.
“I had no assistance from any label my brother, My story must never ever be told wrong. We’re building something very iconic (as an independent musician) History!” Cassper responded to a tweet.
Most songs from the first album featured a number of Kalawa Jazmee artists and the disclaimer stated that some of the songs were owned by the record label.
Cassper went on to say that, “Kalawa only appear on my iTunes only cause me and Oskido had A digital distribution deal. That deal ended up becoming the Seven figure MTN deal.”
