Nakhane Toure Says He Is Tired Of Talking About The Film ‘Inxeba’

Award winning music star and actor Nakhane Toure spoke of how tired he is of speaking about the movie Inxeba (The Wound) which received negative response from most people so much so that it got to the point where they threatened to kill him. The online accusations rose when the trailer of the movie was released. Nakhane’s sexuality has bothered a number of people since it was revealed. Like most homosexual males Toure had to defend himself in a lot of situations and now he is tired.

“I am so tired of talking about this. It is draining to talk about the same thing over and over. Yes, I have had to cancel some of my planned trips to the Eastern Cape and Cape Town due to the threats, but I have really said everything there is to be said,” Nakhane said. He is the lead actor in film inxeba which briefly is about a young man who joins the other men of his community on a journey to the mountains to initiate a group of teenagers into manhood. Things start to hit the fan at the discovery of his sexuality, the forbidden love that almost causes him Inxeba. The set takes place in and around an initiation camp.

Nakhane expressed how he doesn’t regret his role and feels that the film tells a story that people must be aware of. “The film is very important and tells a deserving story. I don’t regret being part of the people that tell this story. People need to watch it before they judge it,” he said.
