Pretty Yende To Perfom Mozart’s Requiem At Gold Reef City

Award winning South African Opera musician Pretty Yende was in New York weeks ago where she made a performance that left everyone praising and acknowledging her. She got herself an award in the category of Newcomer of the Year in ECHO Klassik Awards. These awards are Germany’s major classical music award in 26 nominations,  they are usually held annually . Now, Yende is returning home from New York to bless yet another crowd with her wonderful voice in Gold Reef City. She will be performing Mozart’s Requiem with opera legend Sibongile Khumalo on the 12th of August 2017. Yende’s first album titled A Journey was released last year in September, it has done nothing but open up many opportunities for her.

Ticket Prices are R200, R280 and R350. The show will commence at 19h00. The conductors will be Sidwell Mhlongo in collaboration with The Wits School Of Arts. Sbongile will be performing the Mezzo-Soprano whilst Pretty will be doing Soprano.
