WATCH : Simphiwe Dana Perfoming ‘Inkwenkwezi’ Live from Her New Album

Afro Pop musician Simphiwe Dana had a concert few days back where she performed all of the songs from her new album, The Simphiwe Dana Symphony Experience. People attended the show in numbers and gave nothing but good praise to it. Her album released last week and so far fans are loving each and every single. The album consists of 19 songs and is now available on iTunes and all music stores nationwide. Even big names such Winnie Mandela have praised her for her great singing skills and said she didn’t know she was as good as she is musically.

She has been promoting her new album on Radio stations such as Radio 2000. One never knows what to expect from Simphiwe, she combines a whole lot of genres in one such as Jazz, Afro-soul, RAP and Traditional music. Her unique versatile sound has won her a number of awards. She has been in the music for over 10 years, she doesn’t deflate instead she elevates and her music is drawing the attention of a different audience. She is not so much into the public eye but last year things got heated up between her Ntsiki Mazwai who claimed Simphiwe was allegedly ‘sleeping’ her way the top and implied that the star is an alcoholic.

Ndiredi hit-maker released a statement saying that she would take legal actions against Mazwai  because her tweets were defaming her character and would cause ‘irreparable reputational damage’ to her as well as her partnerships with various brands. Since there has been nothing scandalous reported about Simphiwe, all she is busy doing is her music and by the looks of things she is doing pretty well.
