Brickz Alleged Rape Victim Speaks Up

For the first time the girl that has been in the news for years for accusing Kwaito star Bricks for rape have spoken up about the incident and stated how it has destroyed her life. When this alleged rape took place the girl was 17 at the time, for four long years it has taken for the case to finally reach the verdict. Brickz was found guilty of the crime and is yet to be sentenced.

The Sweety My Baby hit-maker and his lawyer Piet du Plessis  argued for the sentence and wanted 10 years and nothing more. “He is human like all of us. He has his mistakes. Court must take into consideration whether he is the kind of person society should be protected against,” said the lawyer. While they await the dates to appeal to the Judge Brickz is being held behind bars. According to TshisaLive a statement that was read out in court that the girl wrote, she inscribed that she was bleeding with anger.

She further stated that “It is heartbreaking that I will never be able to be proud of myself. You took away my happiness. Every night I cry and ask myself what did I ever do to you?,” read part of the statement. She spoke of how Brickz destroyed her life.In Brickz defence, he claimed that he did not “take advantage” of young people and viewed himself as a role model.
