Euphonik’s Removal From The ‘Corrected’ Version Of Bonang’s Book
It has been reported by Sunday Sun that Euponik and Somizi’s names will no longer appear in Bonang’s corrected version of the book A to B. The two celebrities took legal actions against the TV presenter, stating that they don’t want their names appearing in the book because it defames them. The release of the book came with a lot of incidents, It explained the reasons why Bonang broke off her friendship with Somizi and stated her alleged abuse ordeal by DJ Euphonik. They both threatened to sue her if she didn’t remove their names on her book.
The book was returned to the publication company which took full responsibilities for the grammar, typo and factual errors it had and will be available soon in stores. Most twitter users ask why would she remove the details about Euphonik if they were true, which raises more questions about her alleged abuse which occurred over 5 years ago. It was revealed that the Don’t Wanna Be DJ was the victim in their relationship. When asked of his actions to have his name removed the Tholukuth producer said that it was just a “Legal Matter”.
This is the statement of Somizi by his lawyer : “On behalf of our client, we confirm sending a letter to Ms Bonang Matheba’s management regarding the usage of our client’s name in her book. Our client doesn’t have a problem with his name being used in the book as long as the details and information relating to the events are truthful. Our concern at this stage is that this is not the case,” said Thato Matuka
Bonang’s response to the legal actions and social media reactions to the whole issue. “For the better part of five years, I have taken a back seat while others narrated what they sold to be my story on social media and traditional media. Never have I called them to desist or account for what they viewed as their truth.Everyone has a right and responsibility to tell their story. Every account to life’s events is subject to individual interpretation. This is an account of my life, from my perspective and my truth.”
On the new re-edited book, you will no longer read about the juicy details about Euphonik and Somizi.
