Johnny Clegg To Retire Touring After Upcoming Tour Concerts
Legendary SA muso Johnny Clegg will be bidding the music industry goodbye after 40 years in his last tour set to take place inPort Elizabeth next year. The Scatterings Of Africa hitmaker will be touring for the last time in various places across the country and abroad. He will be entertaining the crowds of places such as New York, Montreal, Dubai and Washington DC to name a few.
Port Elizabeth will be the last time the crowd probably ever see him perform on stage. His uniqueness has made people of all races like him, his SA fans usually call him a White Zulu. His first release was in the 70’s, he was in the group Savuka which later separated and he went solo.
Johny contributed so much in anti-apartheid regime and gave a great meaning to South African music.
