Yvonne Chaka Chaka To Perform With Peabo Bryson In USA

With more than 30 years in the music industry Yvonne Chaka Chaka still has the same strength and voice that has a magical charm, she is now set to showcase her amazing talent to the US where she will be performing alongside Peabo Bryson.

Peabo is another legendary star that is an R&B and soul singer-songwriter, he has a number of Grammy awards to his name, the musician can has also sang soft-rock ballads and has contributed to 3 Disney animated feature soundtracks. Yvonne scooped a BET awards back in June in the category of International Global Good Star and Power Award .”God has been very good to me, I must say. Even though I was called an overnight success and other people said I couldn’t sing. But it’s been 32 years and I’m still here and you know what? I’m not going anywhere,” she said.

In one of her interviews she mentioned that her many years of singing experience is the reason why she still get the high recognition she is receiving. “Last month the NBA guys came by and they asked me to sing one of two songs. I went there and it was me, Oliver and Tresor. We sang about three songs and after that performance they asked me to sign a contract to come to Atlanta,” she said.

She and Peabo will be sharing the stage in Atlanta,Georgia. The performance will also be part of fund raising for the communities affected by the recent natural disasters that have hit America recently.The “Umqombothi” hit-maker  also shared that she was offered the opportunity to perform her own songs with Peabo’s band.
