Opening 2017’s star-studded #ToyotaLive DRUMBeat will be Afro-R&B star Tumelo Moloto and Soul Kulture. This Afro-soul duo is celebrating a South African Music Award (SAMA) for Best African Adult Album. Another popular addition to the line-up is rising star Amanda Black, who took home three SAMAs for Best Newcomer of the Year, Best Female Artist of the Year and Best R&B/Soul/Reggae Album.

With a crowd of 5000 music fans expected at the new concert venue on Saturday, 26 August, tickets are selling fast. Make sure you get your early-bird ticket now for just R150 from Computicket.

Other stars who are set to light up the stage are AKA, A-Reece, Okmalumkoolkat, Rebirth of Cool, The Muffinz, Shimza, Sands, Shekhinah, Lady Zamar, Kaya FM Rhythm Sessions and the legendary Mafikizolo.

“As we celebrate our 20-year anniversary in the music industry, we are excited to perform on the #ToyotaLive DRUMBeat stage this August. We can’t wait to share our latest hits Phakathi and Love Potion from our forthcoming album, MAFIKIZOLO20, with our Ekurhuleni fans!” says Theo Kgosinkwe of Mafikizolo.

After four successful years at the Soweto Theatre, the annual music spectacle is moving to a great new venue this year, the Carnival City Lawns and new Sun Park, in Ekurhuleni. Here concert-goers will be treated to everything from jazz and hip-hop, to house and pop music in a safe and secure environment.

Organisers of #ToyotaLive DRUMBeat 2017 have pulled out all the stops for this year’s event. Fans are in for a real treat at the new outdoor venue where this awesome line-up will perform on two state-of-the-art stages, and a chilled day of great music, festive fun and fab food can be enjoyed.
