DJ Tira On His Thoughts About Zodwa Wabantu

DJ Tira has expressed his thoughts about the latest trending entertainer in SA Zodwa Wabantu who is amongst the entertainers signed under his label Afrotainment. The DJ said that Zodwa Wabantu is one of the biggest gambles of his musical career and called her one of his hottest properties. The Malume hitmaker also expressed that he is well aware of the risks of having Zodwa Wabantu as one of his own artists but he firmly believes in her.

“It’s not easy breaking new artists. You spend money and ask yourself ‘but why’? At the end it’s about hope. It hurts to see an artist not working out and, at times, it takes forever,” said Tira on his interview with TshisaLive. Zodwa proved to be exactly what was needed by Afrotainment and Tira couldn’t be more proud.

“I never thought I would have one of my hottest properties being someone like Zodwa. She’s phenomenal. Along with Tipcee, they are amazing artistes. Zodwa adds charisma at Afrotainment: She brings something and when she goes on stage everyone goes crazy. Excuse her for being too raw at times,” he said.

Even though Zodwa had claimed that she is not planning on singing, she changed her mind and is soon set to launch a singing career which will put her in high competition with Babes and Skolopad. That is why Tira is glad to have her on the team, she is one asset guaranteed to add some flavour and moola on Afrotainment.
