Kyle Deutch Speaks Of His Experiences With Kelly Khumalo

Kyle Deutch and Kelly Khumalo just recently released a single titled Lonely Fool which stands in greater chances to become a hit, produced by Sketchy Bongo. It was the first time the two worked together and what they made was magical and sweet.

Speaking with Drum Magazine, Kyle revealed how it was like working with Kelly Khumalo, he had everything good to say about her, starting off by saying she was a fun person.

“Kelly and I have a very light-hearted friendship. She’s easy to work with, we’re very honest with each other and she’s a very fun person,” he says. Kyle hasn’t been in the music industry for too long but already he has won himself an award for the track he collaborated in with Shekinah titled Back To The Beach.

He also released another hit he titled Can’t Get Enough late last year.Working with Kelly was one of the best things for both of them because they created a true masterpiece. They first met earlier this year at the South African Music Awards nomination party. “I sat next to her at the event and we spoke about one day making a song together. When she came to Durban for the Durban July we decided to go into the studio,” he said.

After listening to Lonely Fools, a Sketchy Bongo-produced beat, Kelly and Kyle co-wrote the lyrics. “It happened so easily, everything flowed as though it was meant to be,” Kyle added.

“You hope that all your songs become hits. We didn’t really think Back to the Beach was going to be a hit but it was and we hope the same for Lonely Fools,” Kyle said.
