Rapper PRO says New Rappers Show No Appreciation To Veteran Rappers
Rapper Pro who most know as Pro-Kid has expressed his views in regards to how current SA rappers don’t appreciate or embrace Veteran rappers such as him and HHP. The rapper went on to claim that the legends of the game aren’t being given enough respect as they are the ones who paved the way for the renowned rappers of today.
He went on to say that these new rap artists are quick to use samples of the older ones but they give less or no acknowledgements to them. He made reference to rap veterans such as Brown Dash and HHP and expressed how it saddens him to see the same people who worked hard in the industry receive no token appreciation.
“The ones that came after HHP, I don’t think they embraced him. They didn’t treat him right or appreciate him. They are quick to forget the people who put them there. People who were once your friends don’t f*ck with you anymore,” said PRO.
He went on to to reveal that he is focused on making more music and decided to forget about the backstabbers of the game. “F*ck them all! I learnt to just focus on my music and write more verses. I went into studio and just made proper music. I forgot the backstabbing and the nonsense and tried to find myself,”he added.
PRO has been silence for years in the music industry, this album will surely be a huge comeback for him. The rapper stated that he’s not worried about his music not getting positive reception but that won’t change the fact that he is one of the few pioneers of the game.
“So many things have come up and i have been really busy. I am still working on the album and i am hoping to release it by April next year.
“I’m one of the few pioneers in this industry and you cannot mention the genre without me and other guts like Brown Dash. My music will still do well,” said Rapper PRO.
