“I regret leaving The Soil” said Samthing Soweto
Former member of the Acapella group Samthing Soweto has expressed how much he regrets leaving The Soil. Some may not remember him from the group but he was one of the members when they were still small-time , during the high success of their musical career Samthing Soweto whose born name is Samkelo Mdolomba was no longer part of the group.
His reason for leaving the group was reported to be a conflict over a contractual dispute before they rose in to fame. “Some people still recognise me from The Soil because they know my voice, but I’m ready to take my shine,” he said.
Samthing Soweto has been trying to worm his way into the music industry as solo artist and has recently released a hit single which climbed the charts titled Akanamali. He has 5 single releases to his credit by far from the album Ebsuku. Mdolomba further revealed that he still has the desire to work with his former band mates again.
“I was young, I didn’t know better. I wanted to do everything at the same time and I admit I was wrong. I regret leaving The Soil but I’m happy they’re doing well,” he said.
