Stream/Download : Robin Thirdfloor – Bhotela EP. On the 31st of August Robin Thirdfloor  released his much anticipated 7 track masterpiece titled Bhotela which was produced by Swiss electronic producer Dejot.

Robin’s real name is Simphiwe Nyawose, his songs are inspired by his hometown Durban, a good example is the single featured in the EP titled eThekwini which gives the listener a taste of the ecstatic party scene in Durban.

This sensational hip hop muso released his debut EP ‘Sounds Empty Pockets Make’ back in 2014 which consisted of 6 songs. Adding to his achievements the rapper also had the opportunity to fly overseas and perform for a crowd in America,Texas at the annual SXSW Musical Festival where various artists  such as Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Migos to name a few share the stage.

Bhotela EP is a compilation of his outstanding work as he showcase his musical skills. The EP was released exclusively on leading streaming platform Deezer and debuted on the top 25 downloaded albums in South Africa on the day of release. ‘Bhotela’ is an isiZulu word for butter, but as Robin explains,”in the townships it also refers to cheese boys or misfits,basically the different kids.”
