Janie Bay Releases Wag vir jou feat. Hunter Kennedy

Afrikaans songstress Janie Bay has released a single titled Wag vir jou in collaboration with Hunter Kennedy following the release of her debut album Miscellany.The song is a pop love song that was directed by Willem van den Heever. Janie Bay is a singer-songwriter from Cape Town, now residing in Pretoria who have have been in the music industry for 7 long years

In an interview with Channel24 the songtress expressed what inspires most of her songs. “As I am a singer-songwriter at heart, I mainly write about my own experiences or that of others. Meaningful stuff, you know? I want to feel and I want others to do too and to be able to use my songs to relate to their own situations and experiences. How amazing is it that we can do this through music? I wrote 11 of the 12 tracks where 1 was a co-write, the other is a cover.”

The message behind this particular single actually questions the strength of one’s relationship status hence the topic Wag vir jou. Janie’s vocals are like food for the soul, she’s a sensational musician powerful enough to speak to the heart of the listener, the genuinety of her music just make her stand out from the rest.

“I really wanted people to feel the lyrics in the song. Also to write their own story regarding the content in the video and to get some beautiful, moody shots. I am really excited for people see it,” said the singer on her single.” she said.
