Irish Legendary Singer Chris DeBurgh Set To Tour SA In 2018. British-Irish singer-songwriter, & instrumentalist Chris DeBurgh will be blessing his SA fans with his exceptional voice as he tours two days in.

He is set to perform at the GrandWest Grand Arena in Cape Town on 28 February 2018 and at the Sun Arena, Time Square in Pretoria on 2 March 2018. De Burgh will tour South Africa in support of his new album A Better World.

He will too showcasing his various music skills which include being an art rock performer who also writes pop-oriented material.

This tour also marks the 25th anniversary of Chris De Burgh’s first tour of South Africa, which was in celebration of the lifting of the cultural boycott. To date, he has sold over half a million tickets over his eight tours to the country.

Spanish Train and Other Stories was De Burgh’s first major hit in SA and the album’s lead single Just Another Poor Boy was number one for several weeks. When he released Man On The Line in 1981, De Burgh was a well-established global star and the single from this album High On Emotion became a number one record right across the globe. 1986 saw the release of Into The Light, which sold in excess of 10 million copies worldwide. It also featured the single Lady In Red, which was number one in 50 countries.
