SA Musicians Who Divorced/Broke-Up In 2017

Most would agree that 2017 hasn’t been the best year for most famous couple, the reports of divorces and break-ups are reported almost weekly. It must be the pressure of being in the public eye, infidelity issues or loss of spark in the relationship there’s no telling one can never be sure of what happens amongst these celebrity couples.

The seperation of these lovers does affect their fans, when a person you look up to fail to sustain a relationship it makes you wonder a lot. Some break up after years of putting up with each other which gets a lot of people confused, suppose nothing lasts forever for everyone else.

1. Mel And Zwai Bala

After 9 years of marriage Radio presenter Melanie Bala and her husband musician Zwai, released a statement last week confirming that divorce proceedings were under way following their separation. “We confirm that we have separated and divorce proceedings are underway. We have come to a mutual decision that although we’ve strived to be the best version of ourselves within our marriage, we have fallen short of that,” : Read the statement released on twitter. The two share two children together.

2.Unathi And Thomas Msengana

Afro pop musician Unathi confirmed separation with Husband Thomas by saying. When asked if they were still together Unathi said “no we are not” she however says they are in a good space because they are family.The two have been together since 2009 and have children together.

3.Zahara And Amaza

“The break-up was an emotional time for me. I just needed a real man and he wasn’t the right one for me. He is the best at what he does and I don’t want his private life to impact on his career. He simply couldn’t love me the way I wanted because he was not right for me,” Zahara said. They’ve been in a relationship for five-years. It was reported they got engaged in June last year but Zahara later denied those claims.

4.Psyfo And Hlulisani Ravele

Hulisani Ravele and Rapper Sipho “Psyfo” Ngwenya had been together for over five years when she announced on twitter that she and the star are no longer a couple, the two have never got into detail about their split but they have given us enough proof to know they are history.

5.Arthur Mafokate And Cici

Their relationship didn’t end really well it included alleged assaults and arrests it was just chaotic. It took a while for the two to confirm their relationship to the public, when they did it was close to an end. Cici was signed under Arthur’s recording label, when he allegedly abused her physically, she left him and the company.
