Zahara On Almost Giving Up On Music To Herd Cows. Award winning Afro pop songstress Zahara opened up in an interview with Sunday World publication about how she almost gave up on music in 2014 to go back home to taking care of her livestock due to the pressure she was getting from the media.

Mgodi hitmaker stated that the brutal coverage she was getting from media in the music industry got too much for her and she couldn’t understand what they wanted from her.

” I don’t know why media was giving me so much attention. I don’t know what they wanted from me because I did not do anything to anyone. At the time when I decided to go home, I didn’t care. I said they can take the car and the house, I don’t care,” she said.

She further revealed that she has cows and chickens back home that she was willing to go back to and give it all up.

“I have chickens, cows and goats at home in East London. I even thought I could go back to busking on the streets. I could not take it anymore,” She added.
