Decision Pending On Which Actress Is Suitable To Play Brenda Fassie.
UK Based production company Showbizbee has announced that it will be making a biographical film of the late SA superstar Brenda Fassie which will be directed and written by Edward W Shaw.

The company hasn’t decided on which actress will be suitable enough to play Brenda Fassie but twitter has and they want the voluptuous Brenda Ngxoli to play the character. The list of others suggested include Nomuzi Mabena, Soso Rungqu and Manaka Ranaka. Some twitter users even raised points that they no longer want international actors/actresses to play characters of SA’s most important public figures.

Speaking to Sowetan live Brenda Fassie’s son Bongani spoke of how much he was looking forward to bringing his mother’s story to life.

“My mother Brenda has been surrounded by controversy in her life and even in her death. It is with great excitement that we have partnered with Showbizbee Film Productions to make the Brenda Fassie movie for box office release in 2018,” Bongani Fassie said.

Auditions for the lead role of Brenda Fassie will be open to all South Africans.
