Distruction Boyz Allegedly Stole  ‘Omunye’ From DJ LAG. Just when we were still enjoying the hit banger Omunye by Gqom duo Distruction Boyz which was the song of the year 2017 shocking news that it was stolen emerge.

The song has opened many doors for the group the way it is lit, it is creating some hot waves in and out of South Africa, unfortunately it has been reported that the song isn’t originally of the boyz.

According to City Press the song resembles the one of DJ LAG titled Trip to New York which has led LAG’s team to acquire a copyright investigation. Trip To New York was released three month before Omunye and listening to both songs the difference is only the lyrics.

However a copyright investigation concluded the similarities of two songs which led to speculations that the Boyz stole the song. The Distruction Boyz haven’t yet commented on the accusations.
