Details on Dr Tumi’s Upcoming Gathering Of Worshippers Concert

Dr Tumi speaks new album

SA’s Gospel success Dr Tumi has revealed what his fans can expect from the album he is busy cooking set to release early next year 2019.

Dr Tumi is also in the process of promotinh the album he released last year The Gathering of Worshippers: Beauty for Ashes which h hold a  concert for at Voortrekker Monument in Thwane, the venue will hold 30 000 people – 10 000 more than his last concert. Taking place on Spring Day (1 September).

Speaking to DRUM about his upcoming concert Dr Tumi said that it will be a colourful affair.

“Think of the colour run – that is exactly how this will be.”

“When I think of God, I think of beauty and colour and happiness, and that is what I want people to experience when they come to the concert.”

The concert will be outdoors and this according the former medical doctor was deliberate.

“I want worshippers to sing up to God and not feel like there is any ceiling restricting them, it is an experience of a life time.”

“I initially wanted the concert to take place the week before, but when I realised that the following week is Spring Day, it all just fit in perfectly because for me it symbolises new beginnings.”

Speaking on other things we can expect from him this year, the Speak your Word singer introduced two new acts that have joined his record label: Breathe and Jesse Priestly.

“I discovered the group Breathe on YouTube and immediately knew that I wanted to work with them. They had a sound that was different and youthful and I think it’s exactly what the gospel music industry needs.”

Dr Tumi will also be releasing a song he made with international Gospel artist Kirk Walhum.

Universial music Managing Director Sipho Dlamini said working with Tumi on his second offering has been a great experience.

“This is upcoming project is going to be amazing. It’s going to be colourful and innovative,” he said
