DJ DooWap’s Inspiration Of Unique Fashion and Music
DooWap list Moonchild as one of her SA's favourite artist
One of SAs most talented female DJ and Fashionista DJ DooWap has revealed where she gets her inspiration from, which motivates her to be one of the people to break the boundaries the society set for women.
“I draw my inspiration from the incredible energy in South Africa: the beautiful people, the badass dance moves, the breathtaking landscapes, the fearless youth, the wisdom in the soil and the sky, as well as the relentless creatives.”
The artist further expressed the 5 women she wishes to work with in the music industry.
“There are numerous artists in SA that I would like to collaborate with, Manthe Ribane: Her aesthetic and vision is beyond these planes. Nonku Phiri: She is a thought provoking musician that pulls at the heart strings and dives deep into your soul to share her light. Moonchild: She is a power house of femme energy that touches on very important social issues to bring about positive change to our communities. Rouge: She spits pure fire on the mic and stands her ground with killer bars and attitude. ”
DJ DooWap is amongst the list of SA Musicians set to perform at the Vivo Nation Music Festival taking place in Johannesburg on 10 and 11 March. The artists featured include Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta and Lady Zamar to say the least.
