Dr Malinga On Why He Decided To Launch Condoms Named After Him

Malinga on expanding his business

Dr Malinga On Why He Decided To Launch Condoms Named After Him. Musician and Businessman Dr Malinga has announced the news that he will be expanding his business and will manufacture condoms that he proudly named after him. First it was the car-trackers then water now it’s condoms, Malinga sure is on the move of his own.

The musician, who is in the healing music industry, told TshisaLIVE that his condom project has been in the works since 2015.

The Akulaleki hitmaker explained  why he decided to manufacture condoms. “Well, it’s quite simple really. I am businessman and there’s a need for condoms. I am helping people because I realised that people need a constant reminder to protect themselves against things like HIV. I happen to be in an industry where bashes and parties are some of the popular places where people tend to ‘forget themselves’ so I am here to help them”.

Malinga said in his experience too many people were embarrassed to take free condoms and the available brands are too costly, which is where he saw a gap.

The musician said as a businessman he was always looking for ways to make money and never let an opportunity slip through his fingers.

Also, just as a side note, Malinga is expecting his third child.

Malinga said the launch of his condoms coinciding with him being a father to be, would bring up the topic of using condoms in marriage. He said the issue is often avoided but mostly black people didn’t associate using condoms after getting hitched, which he thought wasn’t wise.

“Condoms are a big part of family planning. The one thing I can guarantee is that Dr Malinga condoms will be safe. I’m also hoping that people see that these condoms are created to help them and they are for everyone. Like now, after my woman gives birth and we eventually make love again, I have to use them because another child immediately after this one is not part of the plan.”
