E.tv To No Longer Air Local Music Show Club 808

Club 808 comes to an end.

One of SA’s biggest broadcasting channel e.tv has announced the confirmation that it will no longer air the longest running music show Club 808. The channel has been the home of the music show for 7 years interchanging it’s hosts.

Last year In September the show changed time slots creating room for soap opera Days of Our Lives, and dismissed s that it was because of viewership figures.

“Club 808’s final episode will air on e.tv on Friday, March 30 at 4.25pm. The show will conclude with a special episode showcasing the talent and hosts that have graced the show since its premiere,” said e.tv publicist Michael Pocock.

“We would like to thank the presenters of Club 808, all the talent that have featured on the show and Red Pepper Pictures for an entertaining seven years on e.tv.”

The news were officially announced on last week’s episode of the show.
Current presenter of Club 808 Bontle Modiselle who replaced Boity Thulo in June last year also confirmed the news and thanked fans for the support through her journey.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure entertaining those who watched, and I’ll do so for the remainder of season, and hereafter. Thank you for your support!” She tweeted.
