Previous Idols SA Winners Karabo And Musa Set The Stage On Fire
More details on Karabo's performance at Lyric Theatre
Former Idols SA Winners Karabo Mogane and Musa Sukwene got together to perfom a few songs at Karabo’s first one-man show at the Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg. The two gave killer performances living fans yearning for more.
They merged their soulful voices together in various Afro soul/pop songs.
The show waa a masquerade theme and Karabo performed songs from his latest album, Matters of the Heart. One of the songs on the album is a collaboration with the late Robbie Malinga called Sondela.
Karabo was one of the last artists to work with Robbie, so he told DRUM he has to continue Robbie’s legacy.
“As artists we have to come together and continue Robbie’s legacy, so I have found a brother in Musa,” Karabo said.
Musa also shared with us that he feels honoured to be working Karabo.
“Karabo and I grew up in the same town and I’ve known his family for quite some time, so it’s great to be working with a man I can call a brother,” Musa said.
The two, who are both from Mpumalanga, set the Lyric Theatre’s stage on fire as they stole away the hearts of female fans – and the screams were there to prove it.
Karabo also performed his new house track with DJ Ganyani for the first time while on stage.
“Thank you very much to everyone who came through to my show, my dreams were realised because of you I pray that God blesses you. For the love of music,” Karabo thanked his supporters.
