Black Coffee writes his name in the Apollo history book.
WATCH : Black Coffee’s Performance At The Apollo Theatre. SA’s finest DJ and Businessman Nkosnathi Maphumulo famously known as Black Coffee continued to make history as he made a killer performance at the Apollo theater this past weekend.
Apollo Theater is one of biggest theaters based in New York. The late Jazz Legendary star Hugh Masekela and James Brown have also performed on the stage. Black Coffee just got added to the list.
SA fans couldn’t be much happier at Black Coffee’s achievement and those who attended it seemed to have had the most amazing time judging from the clips the DJ shared on social media.
The clip was accompanied by a caption : “I’m highly honoured to be gracing the stage of the Apollo Theatre. It has been one of my greatest dreams,” he wrote.
Black Coffee got to write his name in the history books as well – literally, he actually signed his name in the theatre’s book and on their wall, hoping that other South African acts would pen their names next to his in the near future.
