Fact is Gqom music is taking over both locally and internationally, it is one music genre that seems to be liked by everyone of all types and kinds, to prove just how big it has become it will be holding a conference set to feature the different minds behind such an awesome creation.

The musicians set to be speakers at the event are DJ Tira, DJ Sox, Rude Boys, Distruction Boyz and DJ Lag also producers Oskido and Zakes Bantwini.

The brain behind the establishment of the conference is DJ Sox who explained the need of having the concert highlighting that it is to expose the information through coaching and professional advice from experts.

“My Journey as DJ Sox has made me look back and i realised, If i had been exposed to information, good coaching and professional advice from experts, I would have done some of the things better of differently. Hence the need for the Gqom music conference came into mind, Just to mentor young and up and coming stars.”

Sox also said that that they also invited big musical organisations to add to the sharing of information. “This conference is about sharing information around, music rights, production and more. That’s why we invited the likes of SAMRO, SAMPRA, Kumisa, Sony and Universal Music, Boston College, COPA, Damelin, CIPC, MICT SETA.”

The conference will be held in KZN, Durban since it serves as the leading location of the Gqom music.

“KZN and Durban are full of talent and new innovations in music. The artists are able to create music that is easy to collaborate with other African lanfuages, to make it sound even more beautiful, which extends the market.  Durban musicians never rest, they sek perfection and entertainment every day.
