Bheki Cele Denies Offering Babes Wodumo Protection Following Her Abuse Claims
Masechaba might've misunderstood Cele on the Babes Issue.
Bheki Cele Denies Offering Babes Wodumo Protection Following Her Abuse Claims. Masechaba Ndlovu has once again had twitter in a tizz with Babes Wodumo’s abuse claims when she tweeted that Minister Of Police Department Bheki Cele will be offering protection for the self-acclaimed Gqom queen.
At the time of the tweet most twitter users were angered by the fact that Babes gets to receive special treatment while most women out there suffer great domestic abuse with no action taken to better their situation.
“I’ve just received an update from Babes management that Min Bheki Cele has offered her protection. We are truly thankful. #Notinmyname.” tweeted Masechaba.
To put some clarification on the tweet, “The minister has nothing to do with this,” said Cele’s spokeswoman Nonkululeko Phokane.
When first contacted, Mokoena claimed his client was offered protection by Cele. “The tweet is correct. They are trying to protect her.”
However, when he was called back to say Cele’s office had denied this, he said Cele had advised that Babes should get a protection order.
However, Keke Mokoena who is Babes Wodumo’s manager said she had been in Johannesburg the whole weekend and had not spoken to Mampintsha despite him issuing a video clip where he claimed they were fine. He added that Babes, who spent her Sunday at church, was still coming to terms with her ordeal.
“Babes is still very hurt and disappointed but she will be fine,” Mokoena said.
