Remembering Brenda Fassie With Five Of Her Most Loved Songs Of All Time.  Today marks the day of the death of Pop star Brenda Fassie who passed on in 2004. According to various media reports The star collapsed at her home in Buccleuch, Gauteng, and was admitted into a hospital in Sunninghill. The press was told that she had suffered cardiac arrest, but later reported that she had slipped into a coma brought on by an asthma attack.The post-mortem report revealed that she had taken an overdose of cocaine on the night of her collapse.

Even though Brenda rose into fame in the 80’s, she was still a relevant and most loved singer of all time when death snatched her away from everyone who admired her. The star managed to release a number of hit songs that most people are still grooving to.

Few months back the star made headlines when her son Bongani Fassie and her former manager Chicco Thawala were fighting over making a Biopic of her. The idea of making a film sparked an interest in a whole lot of people with some eager to act the part of the star and others just anticipating the movie that will show a side of MaBrr that they don’t now of. Even with Chicco winning an interdict the filmmakers said that the movie will be made and should be out at around August 2018.

Eaton added that Brenda is dearly missed by her family and fans across South Africa and the world.

“We wish to dedicate this day for her contribution to society.”
