SA Female Musicians That Have Been Involved In Abusive Relationships. According to the survey made by Stats SA of female abuse it revealed that 21% of women over 18 in South Africa – or one in five women – have experienced violence by their partner. For 17% of young women, between 18 and 24 years old, partner violence is something they’ve experienced in the previous 12 months.

Female abuse have become a norm in SA, women are afraid to speak out because their perpetrators give them enough reason to believe in threats that they will kill them if ever they talk. To those unaware emotional abuse is as effective as much as the physical one is, and what is most painful is that even if abusers can be jailed or killed or in a dufferent lcation, they leave scars that forever burden women throughout their lives.
