Kid X On What Fans Can Expect From His Upcoming Debut Album

Kid X whose born name is Bonginkosi Mahlangu is currently polishing up his big project – an album he has been promising fans for the longest of time. Kid X is not new in the music industry but he has never released an album which begged the question “why.”
The young star said that he wanted to create perfection out of this project. Adding that on the album it’s the most vulnerable he’s ever been and that he dug deep into his history and had to honest with himself when making the music. The realness of the album is part of the reason it has taken him so long.
“The process has had its ups and downs. Thing is I’ve worked on it for literally my entire life, so you can imagine. But sharing with Kwesta is pretty dope because we feed off each other and just exchange knowledge and ideas. There’s a cultural mash-up that will come through the stories it will tell. But the general theme of the album is love, different kinds of love but love is the bottom line.”
Speaking to TshisaLIVE that because he grew up in so many different places, each story would have a different cultural element.
Also stating that he considers himself a wanderer and that this would reflect in his upcoming album because he tells his story in the different areas he’s lived in.
“I think I’m a nomad because I never feel like I am settled, anywhere where I am at that time. I’m always ready to pack myself and leave.” The rapper, who previously belonged to the Cash Time stable, cut his ties to join forces with Kwesta at Raplyf.
