Cyril revealed in his speech that the next 12 months will witness the commercial use of hemp and cannabis products advance. That means markets like medical marijuana and the legal consumption of dagga will be allowed to boom with government support and approval.

“This year we will open up and regulate the commercial use of hemp products providing opportunities for small-scale farmers; and formulate policy on the use of cannabis products for medicinal purposes, to build this industry in line with global trends.
