Known as the outspoken individual that she is Ntsiki has once again expressed her thoughts and this time around it was about the biggest musical celebration Global Citizen Festival set to take place in S.A December 2018. The event is set to host the biggest artists in and out of Africa included Beyonce, Jay-Z, Usher, Cassper and WizKid to say the least.
Global Citizen Festival which also looks to celebrate the centenary of Nelson Mandela is a free and ticketless concert and the only way to get access is to do actions and these actions will get you into the festival. Actions can include charity work and spreading the message on social media.
Ntsiki then spoke of how this event will play a part in demeaning people shoeimh them low-esteem.
“Looking forward to seeing my people grovel and act like idiots. Global Citizen in gonna show us low self-esteems.”
Ntsiki asked whether they would be getting the same amount of money to perform.
“I wonder how much South African musicians are getting paid… and how much the Americans are getting paid. Can we have an audit please?”
Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans told TshisaLIVE in an interview that none of the artists get paid to perform, whether they are international or local stars.
