SA Government Assist Pro Kid’s Family With Funeral Preparations. As an entertainer that made a name not only for himself but for South Africa too Pro Kid’s passing touched many lives, for that reason and more the SA government is set to lend a helping to the family as a show of appreciation of the star.
“We will be celebrating life. He (ProKid) contributed. He was not just born, lived and died. We are here to assist. The family is in charge, we are here to close the gaps.” said Gauteng MEC for community safety, Faith Mazibuko.
The MEC said her department was working to try to secure the hall at the University of Johannesburg’s Soweto campus to hold the rapper’s funeral service on Sunday.
Arts and culture minister Nathi Mthethwa also visited the house on Monday to meet with the family.
A memorial service for the star will be held on Thursday in Johannesburg ahead of his funeral.
Pro Kid will be buried at Heroes Acre in Westpark Cemetery, Johannesburg alongside other music stars including Robbie Malinga and Mandoza.
