DA Councillor Set To Fight Jacob Zuma’s Album Deal
The work of politics in South Africa is making it’s way to the music space especially ever since former president Jacob Zuma announced he’ll be venturing into music.
His first official music move is set to be a collabo with the legendary group Ladysmith Black Mambazo which most people including DA Councillor Nicole Graham seems to be against and adamant on preventing from happening.
EThekwini head of parks, recreation and culture Thembinkosi Ngcobo confirmed oneNCA on January 6 2019 that Ladysmith Black Mambazo reached out to assist the eThekwini municipality to create Zuma’s album by offering its studio facilities free for the live recording and a possible collaboration.
According to TimesLive, DA councillor in the eThekwini municipality Nicole Graham said the party would fight Zuma’s album deal “tooth and nail”. She said the album was not proposed before any council committee and called for greater accountability in Ngcobo’s department.
