Ukhozi FM DJ Sbu In Hospital After A Shocking Ordeal

Ukhozi FM DJ Sbusiso Buthelezi is reportedly in hospital fighting for his life after suffering from gunshot wounds inflicted by thugs who were attempting to hijack him. He was shot on the chest and arms and is treated at the Pietermaritzburg hospital.

According to Daily Sun the DJ allegedly parked his car in the CBD where suspects came up and demanded it but Sbu resisted.

Msunduzi mayor Themba Njilo who broke the news said Sbu was shot fleeing the scene.

“He drove off but the thugs drove after him and shot him. He was rushed to one of the hospitals in Pietermaritzburg,” said Njilo.

SABC spokeswoman Neo Momodu said: “We can confirm Ukhozi presenter Sbu Buthelezi was involved in an attempted hijacking. He’s in good spirits and recovering well in hospital.”

A case of attempted murder was opened.
