SA Celebs Congratulate Riky Rick for Hosting Cotton Festival
Riky Rick has been sending positive vibes with the inaugural Cotton Fest, held over the weekend. The festival was held on Saturday, February 2nd at ‘ Old Train Station’ in downtown Jozi. The event featured more than 80 acts including on the line up local hip hop stars Kwesta, AKA, Nasty C, Stogie, and Anatii.
Riky Rick also featured a surprise act – Mzambiya, who wowed crowds with a number of kwaito classics. To many fans surprise, Cassper Nyovest wasn’t part of the line up. Cassper had tweeted prior to the festival, “I’m a surprise act for Cotton Fest. No I’m not, I wasn’t booked for the event or even asked to be part of it but I don’t have beef with not being part of it though. It’s dope to see SA hip hop unite & create dope moments. I’m all for that.”
This led to speculations that Cassper and Riky Rick might be beefing. A number of celebrities including the artists that performed at the festival congratulated Riky Rick.
Anatii tweeted, “Last night was all about positive vibez, love, unity, culture and celebrating each others excellence! big up to @rikyrickworld! #COTTONFEST2019”
AKA who also performed at the Cotton Festival tweeted, “Congratulations @rikyrickworld This really was something special. God Bless you and your amazing family.”
